BOCA RATON – St. Andrew’s senior running back and Army commit Bill Young will go head-to-head with Boynton Beach senior running back Bobby Smith Jr.

Who will carry his team to victory?

Young and Smith Jr. are dynamic playmakers for their respective squads that produce at a very high level, so much so that they are ranked as the top two senior running backs in Palm Beach County.

Boynton Beach Bobby Smith Jr.

Smith Jr. has been a starter since his freshman year. To say that he is seasoned would be an understatement.

Smith Jr. is a bruiser for the Tigers Wing T offense as he can run over multiple defenders on his way to the end zone or plant his foot and turn on the jets as he runs right down the middle of defenses.

In his junior year, Smith Jr. racked up 1,250 yards. But in his senior year, he is already on pace to break that, as he currently sits at 60 carries for 543 yards and three rushing touchdowns.

With four games left in the regular season, Smith Jr. has also added one receiving touchdown.

Against West Boca Raton, Smith Jr. tallied six rushes for 95 yards, and one touchdown to aid in the Tigers 42-7 rout of the Bulls.

Late bloomer and impact player Marc Arcelin assists Smith Jr. as another emerging top running back in Palm Beach County for Boynton Beach.

Arcelin has 38 rushes for 700 yards and seven touchdowns. He has rushed for 200+ yards in back-to-back games this season.

Meanwhile, Young is ranked as the No. 2 running back in Palm Beach County by New Era Prep.

Young has big-play ability to run in between the tackles, hit the sideline, and outrun everybody.

Young has played a major role in the Scots being 5-1 on the season and currently riding a four-game winning streak.

Young currently has 63 rushes for 554 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also has two receiving touchdowns.

In a recent bout against North Broward Prep, Young racked up 16 carries for 78 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. He was named Offensive Player of the Game by MaxPreps.
