Milwaukee – WI – This Afternoon, The Lipscomb Bison faced the Iowa State Cyclones in the First Round of March Madness.

Lipscomb played close to start and led for a little bit, but a 12-0 run from Iowa State gave them a 27-16 lead. The Cyclones carried this momentum into the rest of the first half, led by Milan Momcilovic who had 17 on 7-9 shooting. “I saw the first couple go down then my whole game opened up,” Momcilovic said at the half.

To start the second half, the Cyclones blew open the lead and another run gave them a 55-30 lead with 12 minutes to go and that was all she wrote. Iowa State finished with four double-digit scorers and led in every major category. Lipscomb came out the gate with heart but the Bison were unable to stop the Cyclone’s runs.

The Cyclones will face the winner of UNC/Ole Miss on Sunday with a trip to the Sweet-Sixteen on the line. No matter which team they play, this will be one of the premier games in the Second Round.
