BOCA RATON – Boca Raton 5-4; 2-1 in District 11-4M play) and Fort Pierce Westwood (5-4; 1-1 in District 11-3S play) are both on the brink of being over .500 on the season, which can determine if they can sneak into the playoffs.

It is that time of year where seniors are looking to put out their best performances and coaches are looking to finish the season on the highest note as possible.

Tonight will be no different.

BOCA RATON

Boca Raton has been on a rough stretch in the past three games, as it went 1-2 with two “good loses” – one against top-ranked Palm Beach Central and a narrow district loss to Santaluces in a 21-20 battle.

Impact players to watch in this matchup for the Bobcats:

OFFENSE

Quarterback – Freshman Chance Routson can play, and he’s mature quite quickly this season.

Wide receiver – Senior Colby Hidalgo is Routson’s go-to target and he can make people miss with ease.

Tight end – Senior Sebastien Saint-Louis

DEFENSE

Linebacker – Gabriel Birnbaum

Linebacker – Brock Anderson leads the team in tackles.

Defensive back – Tyrese Simon leads the team in interceptions.

FORT PIERCE WESTWOOD

The Panthers are currently on a three-game losing streak and look to change that tonight. They lost two close games – Week 9 against Fort Pierce Central (19-18) Week 10 against Port St. Lucie (25-13).

Prior to Westwood’s three-game losing streak, this team was on a three-game winning streak, taking down Glades Day, Okeechobee, and Spanish River in the process.

OFFENSE

Quarterbacks – Todd Jackson and Joseph Weathers both see time at quarterback.

Running backs – The Panthers have a three-headed monster with Braylon Vincent, Kevin Ryals III, and Jackson rounding the rushing attack out.

Receivers – Jayln Monds and Jacob Mills are top targets.

DEFENSE

Linebackers – Bryce Haynes is a tackling machine with 75 total. He has eight tackles for loss.

Meanwhile, Javian Gardner is second on the team with tackles (48) and sacks (7.5).

Defensive line – Christopher Pierre will be an anchor with 44 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

Meanwhile, Youry Celisca will be featured at defensive line and linebacker. He leads the team with 10.5 sacks.

SKINNY: Fort Pierce Westwood will come into this matchup with a big chip on its shoulder as it looks to avenge last year’s 40-0 loss to Boca Raton.

This is a must-win game for both teams to keep their playoffs hopes alive.

The kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Nov. 3) in Boca Raton
