The Syracuse Orange came away with an exciting home win on Tuesday night over the Florida State Seminoles from the JMA Wireless Dome, improving their record to 12-5 (3-1 ACC) on the season.
Led by a dominant performance from sophomore forward Donnie Freeman, he helped lead the Orange to victory following his 25-point performance on 9-12 shooting from the field. It marks the 3rd straight win for Syracuse, and their first home win over Florida State since 2017.

Sophomore forward Tyler Betsey also provided a spark off the bench, scoring 18 points on 6-8 shooting from 3PT in just 22 minutes of action.
For the Seminoles, they kept it tight for most of the contest, having four scorers go over 13 or more points and cutting it to a 4 point deficit within the final two minutes, but it ultimately wasn’t enough as the Orange couldn’t be stopped on offense shooting over 60% from the field as a team and 41% from 3PT.
For Florida State (now 7-10, 0-4 ACC), they hope to get back on track and pick up their first conference win under first year head coach Luke Loucks, and will host Wake Forest on Saturday 1/17.
Next up for Syracuse, they will look to add onto their winning streak as the Orange will travel to Boston College for an ACC matchup at 2:00 on Saturday.
