Tallahassee, FL.- Florida State Football is poised for a great season in 2024.

Despite losing a deep core to the NFL, the Seminoles have reloaded and have their eyes set on another dominant season. FSU’s 2024 team features multiple projected starters that casual ‘Noles fans aren’t too familiar with.

As the first week of fall camp comes to a close, three of the Seminoles’ young stars have made large impacts early on. While these players have to earn their stripes up in Tallahassee, the Palm Beach County faithful had the privilege of watching these young men ball out on Friday nights just a few short months ago.

Amaree Williams- TE/DE

While analyzing this FSU Roster, Amaree Williams is easily the most polarizing player on the depth chart. Williams, a 6 foot 3 freak of a human, was the nations top rated ATH in the class of 2025 at the end of the 2024 season, before ultimately deciding to forgo his senior season and re-class to 2024.

While at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, FL., Williams dominated on both sides of the ball, excelling at defensive end and tight end. During his signing ceremony, Amaree stated FSU’s plan to play into his strengths, allowing him to continue to share time on both ends of the ball. Mike Norvell is currently holding his end of the bargain, practicing Williams at both positions, but he’s reportedly shining as a pass catcher.

In the first few practices of Fall Camp, Amaree’s athleticism has been put on full display, reeling in diving catches, sideline grabs and passes over the middle. Amaree has been gaining the trust of his QB’s DJ Uiagalelei and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek throughout camp, spending countless hours catching balls and running routes behind the scenes.

Ricky Knight III- DB

Ricky Knight’s skill set has been on full display to begin camp! Knight, one of the best coverage corners from across the state hasn’t skipped a beat, and is making plays early. During his senior year at Cardinal Newman in West Palm Beach, FL., Knight was shutdown, only allowing 3 catches the entire season.

It’s clear that Ricky has taken his dominance to Tally, as he’s reportedly caused multiple PBU’s and a beautiful redzone interception. Early in camp, Ricky has increased his workload in the slot, training to be a solid nickel corner.

Jake Weinberg- K

Jake Weinberg is on pace to be the next great Florida State kicker. Reports coming out of camp rave about Jake and his accuracy. As the week drew on, Weinberg kept knocking down deep kicks.

Jake Weinberg possesses a special ability to make 60 yard bombs look like PATs, as he’s automatic from deep. To end practice earlier this week, the entire team huddled around the multiple time Groza Award Winner, yelling and screaming in an attempt to simulate a harsh crowd. Per usual, Jake drowned out the noise and drilled the 35+ yarder.

College football will be played in less then one month! In a FSU locker room full of vets, keep an eye out on these talented freshman who will make their impact known on an even larger scale very very soon.
