PALM BEACH COUNTY – Now that Week 1 of the regular season is in the rearview mirror, we can celebrate what our players and coaches have achieved.

For the first time, we have assembled eight (8) weekly categories for our nominees and winners.

They are in the following categories:

• Team of Week 1
• Coach of Week 1
• MVP of Week 1
• Lineman of Week 1
• Offensive Player of Week 1
• Defensive Player of Week 1
• Breakthrough Player of Week 1
• Special Teams Player of Week 1

And with that, let us celebrate the first four Week 1 winners:

• Team of Week 1: Cardinal Newman
• Coach of Week 1: Jack Daniels
• MVP of Week 1: Ahmad Haston (Palm Beach Central 2023 quarterback)
• Lineman of Week 1: Chris Cirillo (Palm Beach Central 2023 offensive lineman)

We have made sure that all positions were accounted for, which means that no one group would be left behind in the honors.

Here are the other four Week 1 winners:

• Offensive Player of Week 1: Henry Bennett (Cardinal Newman 2023 running back) and Brand Campbell (Palm Beach Gardens 2023 quarterback)
• Defensive Player of Week 1: Gabriel Birnbaum (Boca Raton 2024 defensive end)
• Breakthrough Player of Week 1: Johnnari Rumph (Palm Beach Gardens 2024 athlete)
• Special Teams Player of Week 1: Malcolm Tucker (Palm Beach Gardens 2023 athlete)
