UNC Charlotte Forward Giancarlo Rosado has his way in his last outing vs Murray State. The 6’8 Grad Student transfer from FAU put up 23 points and 5 rebounds in the double-overtime win for the 49ers. This included a clutch three-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime.
Rosado played 4 years of varsity at Palm Beach Lakes High, reaching the 1000-point club and being named the Sun-Sentinel 6A-7A Player of the Year in 2020. After graduating, he took his talents to FAU becoming a key contributor for the Owls. Rosado averaged 6.8 points throughout the Owls’ Cinderella 2023 Final 4 berth. Last season, the squad stayed together for FAU’s inaugural season in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). In 2023, G recorded an average of 4.8 points and 3 rebounds, providing veteran leadership en route to another Tournament bid.
Gian and the 49ers are set to wrap up the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic tomorrow at 2:30 PM vs Charleston on ESPNU.
