Sunrise, FL.- The Florida Panthers are the face of hockey. Like it or not, it’s a fact.
In the eyes of the NHL, there’s no better way to open the 2025-26 season than Panthers hockey. Earlier this morning, the NHL announced the slate for Opening Day, and the Cats easily stand out as the headliner. On October 7th, the 2025 NHL season will open with a triple header, featuring the following matchups
Game 1- Chicago Blackhawks v Florida Panthers (5 PM EST)
Game 2-Pittsburgh Penguins v NY Rangers (8 PM)
Game 3- Colorado Avalanche v LA Kings (10:30 PM)

The first foe in the quest for Florida three-peat has been set. The Chicago Blackhawks, a once proud franchise, have quickly plummeted into NHL irrelevance, finishing with the second worst record in the league last season (25-46). Panthers fans- expect another nice dominant win shortly after seeing the second banner make its way into the rafters.
