BOYNTON BEACH – No. 4 seed Boynton Beach (8-2) will be hosting No. 5 seed King’s Academy (8-2) tonight in the Class 2M – Region 3 quarterfinals, as both teams looks to keep their respective seasons alive.
BOYNTON BEACH: DISTRICT 10-2M CHAMPION
Boynton Beach is riding a seven-game winning streak into this matchup and has been lights out on both sides of the ball in recent weeks.
The Tigers have outscored opponents by a score of 96-20 in their last two outings, with blowout wins against American Heritage-Delray (49-14) in Week 10 and Lake Worth (47-6) in Week 11.
Boynton’s rushing attack has been a staple for this team all season long.
The host for tonight’s playoff game has three 1,000-yard rushers in the backfield: Bobby Smith Jr, Bobby T. Smith, and Marc Arcelin. All three have combined to score 35 touchdowns in 10 games this season.
KING’S ACADEMY: DISTRICT 9-2M CHAMPION
King’s Academy is coming off a heartbreaking 21-7 rivalry loss to Benjamin that ended its seven-game winning streak.
The Week 11 loss probably ruined the Lions chances at having home field advantage for this upcoming matchup.
The Lions offensive attack has been lethal all year long with Joe Dailey, his offensive line, and their balanced offensive attack leading the way. Marion Victor has been a key asset coming out of the backfield, and Jermaine Council has been the team’s Mr. Do-It-All on both sides of the ball.

Both squads are district champions and know how to win games. They have proven that all season long.
This is a very evenly matched game. Here’s how:
•Boynton Beach has a solid offensive line and backfield to run with the state’s best defenses.
•King’s Academy, meanwhile, has a great mix of the pass and run with a defense that has not beaten itself much this year.
