RIVIERA BEACH – No. 6 Seminole Ridge (4-0) will face off against No. 7 Inlet Grove (2-1) in Week 5 action.

The Hawks have put together an impressive start to the season by taking care of business on the field.

They have outscored opponents by a score of 84-21. And although it looks like video game-type stats, nobody is scoring on them either.

Sophomore Ty Jackson leads the Hawks defense with 43 total tackles, averaging almost 11 tackles per game. And senior Evan Jackson is a ball hawk at defensive back.

Of the 21 points that have been allowed through four games, two of Seminole Ridge’s opponents did not score at all – Royal Palm Beach and Palm Beach Lakes.

A marquee win for the Hawks came in Week 1 against the Glades Central Raiders in a 22-14 battle.

Senior running back Thomas Karbowski has been a bruiser, as he leads the team with 225 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.

Fellow senior Luis Gonzalez will be another name to look for in this game.

The lone loss for Inlet Grove came in Week 1 against Santaluces, 32-20. Since then, the Hurricanes have blown past their last two opponents, winning 37-14 over Jupiter Christian in Week 2 and 56-0 over Bridge Prep Village Green in Week 3.

On offense, senior Timothy Mann Jr. is making a name for himself as he leads the team with 250 reception yards and two touchdowns.

Sophomore quarterback Legend Felican has a good arm and feet to match as he can weave in and out of a defense to find his wideouts. Felican has 700 passing yards and six touchdown passes on the season.

Inlet’s backfield has a triple-headed monster lined with seniors Jacory Brown, Sebastien Christian, and Ejavious “EJ” Boswell. Each senior has a pair of rushing touchdowns and averages almost 10 yards per carry.

Senior wideout Kian Johnson will be an impact player to watch on offense. Along with fellow senior and Illinois commit Teremun Lott, he has proved that he can change a game in an instant from anywhere on the field.

Boswell, also known as Mr. Do it All, leads the Hurricanes defense with 44 tackles and 11 tackles for loss, averaging almost 15 tackles per game.

Heading Inlet’s defense as well are senior Malik Willis, sophomore Samuel Bryant III, junior Christian Martin, junior Carl Boldin, and senior Ajani Heron. They are all names one should expect to hear on Friday night.

Seminole Ridge will be fighting to keep its undefeated record intact on the road and show Palm Beach County it is for real.

Inlet Grove will be looking to wash last year’s 52-18 loss to Seminole Ridge out of its mouths and continue its undefeated streak at home.

The kickoff is set for 6:30 pm tonight (Sept. 23) in Riviera Beach.
