FLORENCE, Ala. – Kade Glenn is ready to work.
The young coach in the making is coming off an illustrious college football playing career at Keiser (2018-2020) and then New Haven (graduate senior season in 2021). He has a master’s degree in Business Administration.
And right now, the Jensen Beach native and high school alum is getting himself acclimated to then coaching life as a graduate assistant at North Alabama.
Glenn accepted his offer to join the North Alabama coaching staff on July 18. And on July 25, North Alabama made the announcement official through its Twitter account on Glenn’s behalf.
“Since I got here, it’s felt like home,” Glenn said. “It’s felt like I’ve been here for more than two weeks They made me feel comfortable I came here just ready to work, ready to learn and just to be a sponge, and try to learn as much as I can.”
Glenn on the North Alabama coaches and players:
“The coaching staff is awesome, the players are awesome,” Glenn said. “I have been here for about two weeks and I tell everyone I love it. I wake up every morning excited to be around the game of football. My buddy EJ is the offensive lineman GA here also. I played with him at Keiser, and just to have someone I know grinding it out and learning every day with someone, I know it makes it easier. That’s my guy right there.”
Glenn will easily be able to parlay his college football playing experience at Keiser into an opportunity to connect with the North Alabama players. After all, Glenn finished his Keiser career with 135 tackles, five interceptions, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two blocked punts, and one touchdown in 28 starts (30 games total).
“My college football career was an experience that I will never forget from starting the program at Keiser to winning two conference championships and going 24-6 at Keiser,” Glenn said. “Building the foundation there was awesome Yes it was hard, but I loved every single second of it. At Keiser I started 28 games out of 30 and played a good amount.”
Glenn shared his New Haven experience from this past season.
“At New Haven, I had to buy into another program and buy into my role,” Glenn said. “Yes, my role wasn’t to start every game at safety. It was to start on special teams, and I really got to learn more about the game of football.”
Glenn on his overall college football tenure as a player:
“The experiences that I went through and the coaches that helped me at Keiser and New Haven really prepped me to coach football one day,” Glenn said. “Playing at two very good college football programs was awesome. I loved every single second of it.”
