WEST PALM BEACH – Keiser cannot be stopped in the regular season.

A treacherous rainstorm Saturday evening (Oct. 24) did not even slow down the Seahawks, as they easily took down the Warner Royals in a 61-0 triumph at home. They played a nearly perfect game on offense, defence, and special teams in perhaps their most impressive effort yet.

On the very first play of the game, Keiser running back Antwione Sims broke the Warner defence by going off to the races for a 72-yard touchdown run. Kicker Logan Robinson added an extra point to give the Seahawks a 7-0 lead at the 14:36 mark.

And at the 13:10 mark of the first quarter, Sims found the end zone again on a 2-yard run. Robinson’s extra point extended Keiser’s lead to 14-0.

Sims completed a quick hat-trick of rushing touchdowns early in the first quarter, as he plunged into the end zone on a 17-yard run. Robinson’s third extra point gave Keiser a 21-0 lead at the 12:29 mark.

Later in the first, Keiser’s passing game got going, as quarterback Eli Matthews connected with wide receiver Shavon Taylor for a 27-yard touchdown in the air. An extra point by Robinson extended Keiser’s lead to 28-0 at the 5:07 mark.

The second quarter would be more of the same, as the Matthews-Taylor synergy was evident with a 17-yard touchdown connection at the 10:51 mark. Keiser had a 35-0 lead after Robinson’s fifth extra point.

The next scoring drive was all about two Wellington alums, as defensive back Sage Chen-Young caught a pick-six for a 20-yard score and Robinson connected on his sixth extra point to give Keiser a 42-0 lead at the 9:08 mark.

And to close out the first half, Matthews used his legs to reach the end zone on a 21-yard run. Robinson’s seventh extra point gave Keiser a 49-0 lead that held at halftime.

In the first half, Keiser outgained Warner in total yardage, 331-57. To drive home this point, Sims (110 first-half yards, three touchdowns) outgained the entire Warner team by himself.

Keiser was not done scoring in the second half, as Jaylen Arnold found the end zone on a 10-yarder with 8:02 left in the third quarter. And to close it out, defensive back Amari Hayes caught a pick-six by a 10-yard run to the end zone with 10:32 left in the fourth for a 61-0 lead.

Keiser finished the game with 421 offensive yards, while holding Warner to 80 total yards. Keiser also obliterated Warner in first downs, 27-8.
