With the 27th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Georgia safety Malaki Starks.

Starks, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound defensive back, brings exceptional versatility to Baltimore’s defense. During his tenure at Georgia, he demonstrated the ability to excel in multiple roles, including nickel corner and both split and single-high safety positions. His quickness, range, and instincts allow him to effectively cover various assignments, making him a valuable asset in the Ravens’ defensive schemes.

Analysts have praised Starks for his football intelligence and adaptability. While he faced challenges in 2024, including missed tackles and allowing big plays, his overall skill set and potential for growth make him a promising addition to the Ravens’ roster. His ability to complement star safety Kyle Hamilton is expected to enhance the team’s defensive capabilities, providing flexibility and depth in the secondary.
