BROWARD- The stars of the present and future showed up to Boyd Anderson today (July 15).

High level high school recruits from across South Florida got the opportunity to participate in an exclusive camp, run by some of the NFL’s finest. This invite-only camp was hosted by Chicago Bears defensive back, and Boyd Anderson alum (2013), Eddie Jackson, Jackson’s brother, Demar Dorsey and Chris Green.

Jackson made sure to bring out the very best to his camp, with counselors like Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers, Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II, Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack.

On the camper side, Palm Beach County was very well represented, with nine of our local stars in attendance. Those in attendance were:

At the beginning of the camp, the players stretched out and then started positional drills, led by the GoldFeet coaching staff and Bozeman Quarterbacks. The skill position players got the opportunity to be led in footwork and catching drills led by GoldFeet’s coach T.A. and coach Jo.

After a brief lighting delay, we were back in action for 1v1’s. During the 1v1’s, Palm Beach County easily stole the show.

Offensively, Waden Charles could not be stopped, racking in 6 catches on 7 reps. Charles showed off his diverse route tree, dominating opposing defensive backs on go routes, post routes and short curl routes. Like I said before, Waden Charles COULD NOT be stopped.

Charles’ elite skill set took interest of the NFL stars as Jaylen Waddle and Jerry Jeudy made it a point to come up to talk with him on his performance today. When asked about his experience today, Waden Charles said:

“It’s always a blessing when you’re able to showcase your talent, but it’s even better when it’s in front of the people you look up to and dream to be where they are.” Charles said. “I had a lot of fun and showed everyone what is to come in this upcoming season. Thank you to Mr. Eddie Jackson, Mr. Chris Green, and the Remain to Reach Foundation for inviting me and allowing me showcase my talents.”

Defensively, Tony Williams had the camp in a seatbelt. Williams was manhandling receivers off the line in press coverage. Tony Williams’ aggressive style of play clearly startled the receivers, because by the end of the competition, nobody wanted to face him.

The highlight of Tony Williams’ afternoon came when his favorite NFL player, Patrick Surtain II, came up to him and gave him some tips. When asked about his time at the camp, Williams said:

“It was a good time out there today. I was able to have fun playing football out there, and showcasing me as a player.” Williams said.”Being able to see the NFL guys and talk with them was a great opportunity.”

Both 561 quarterbacks, Lincoln Graf and Caleb Butler, put their arm talents on full display today. Butler and Graf showed off elite accuracy throughout the camp, fitting passes in windows that their intended targets could grab. This pair showed off why they are going to be the faces of Palm Beach County for a long time.

At the end of the camp, Eddie Jackson gave back to the community by generously donating $50,000 to the park district in Lauderdale Lakes. When asked about the opportunity to use his platform to benefit the community that raised him, Jackson said:

“It means a lot to me, being able to give back. Being around these kids, I know it gives them motivation that they can make it.” Jackson said. “I would like to give a huge shout out to my brother: Demar Dorsey, Chris Green, for putting this thing together. It means a lot to me to give back to my community.”

The Remain To Reach Youth Football Camp was an amazing opportunity for football’s current stars to meet the future faces of the sport.
