Hello from Chicago Miami Dolphins fans! The team had its first joint practice of the year against the Bears. Some players did not participate due to injury. Tyreek Hill who was not present at practice on Wednesday, is dealing with an oblique injury; he was suited up but not in pads today. Mo Kamara, Alec Ingold, Austin Jackson, Andrew Meyer, Byron Matos, Ashtyn Davis, Cam Smith, and Dante Trader Jr were not suited up reported by Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post.
With news for Sunday, the Bears announced that quarterback Caleb Williams will not play Sunday. Other than that, let’s dive into the recap.

In summary, both defenses were dominant today. The Bears defense was causing turnovers and frustration most of the day. There were several turnovers that the Bears defense caused, leaving for a disappointing afternoon for the offense. For those being negative to what happened in joint practice let me say this. This is what practice is for. The team will look over the film today for the game on Sunday and learn from their mistakes. offensive line did not have their best day. The Bears came out the gate physically hitting Waddle to start team drills and Jaylen Wright got thrown to the ground. This was a good wake up call for the team to learn to punch first and stand ground.
On the flip side the Dolphins defense was ferocious getting to the quarterbacks several times. Jordyn Brooks got an interception thrown by Caleb Williams and Zeek Biggers got a sack on Williams to end the day. Grayson Murphy continued to impress by getting a sack and Bradley Chubb was causing havoc in the backfield making Williams feel uncomfortable and getting a sack on him as well. Murphy will be a key player to watch during Sundays game as he has been very consistent with his play.

Jaylen Wright and Malik Washington made a couple of plays getting the offense back on page. Zach Wilson and Tua Tagovailoa made good plays as well, cutting up the Bears defense. During practice corner Jack Jones had to be helped off the field after dealing with a leg injury. He went on twitter and said he was dealing with cramps and offensive lineman Ryan Hayes had a sprained right ankle.
With the first preseason game coming in less than two days, Mike McDaniel will see who he can rely on to either start or be a dependable backup once the season starts. Fans should not overreact as this is only preseason, but it will give a good look of who can make this team and contribute to the team’s goal of winning a playoff game. Players who were late draft picks, undrafted, and free agent signings have this chance to impress or not and risk the chance of their time in Miami being cut short.
