Boca Raton, FL.- We are just a handful of days away from the beginning of the 2025 Spring Football season, and the Spanish River Sharks are suddenly in need of a Head Coach.
It was recently announced by the Columbus Ledger Enquirer that Sharks’ Head Coach Ian Headley has stepped away from the program, and accepted the head job of the Brookstone School in Columbus, GA.
During his three year tenure in Boca Raton, Coach Headley rebuilt the ‘RiverBoyz’ into one of Palm Beach’s top programs. In year one, Spanish River went 1-9 (2022), before making a drastic jump to 7-4 and district runner up’s in 2023. This past season, Spanish River once again finished 7-4, bringing Headley’s record to 15-17.
Following Headley’s departure from the program, Spanish River will appoint Athletics Director and Offensive Line Coach, Christopher Suarez as the interim HC role for spring ball. The school will conduct an extensive Head Coach search throughout the next few weeks to find the next leader of the ‘RiverBoyz’.
