ROYAL PALM BEACH – The desire to rebuild a program fuels Andy Petit-Homme, one of the Class of 2020’s top defenders.
The 6-0, 170-pound safety has range and is willing to come downhill to knock down any and everything that comes his way. This was evident in his play over the past year.

This past spring Royal Palm Beach faced off with Oxbridge Academy in a 41-0 road loss. It was a rough outing for the Wildcats, but Petit-Homme sees a light at the end of the tunnel for this young team.
“I feel that we have a very strong young core that could help turn around this football team, said Petit-Homme, who transferred to Royal Palm Beach not too long ago. “I know I could be a key factor in that turnaround.”
Although Petit-Homme feels as if he’ll be a key factor in turning around a underachieving Royal Palm Beach team, he also feels he’s underrated as a player in the same light.

“I feel like my versatility to be a playmaker over the top or a thumper in the box at safety is a very underrated portion of my game,” Petit-Homme said.
Every high school athlete has dreams of reaching the next level as a collegiate athlete, and Petit-Homme is no exception. Currently holding a 3.3 GPA, this could be a reality for the Royal Palm safety as he looks to have a productive junior campaign.
Petit-Homme’s dream is to play college football at the University of Miami, and for good reason.
“I think I always wanted to be a Cane,” Petit-Homme said. “I’ve been looking up to players like Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, and Antrel Rolle ever since I was a kid.”
When asked who has been the biggest influence in his life, Petit-Homme stated, “The biggest influences in my life have been my parents (Fenel Petit-Homme and Sildere Bathelus). They have always tried to help me better myself in anything I do.”
It’s clear that Andy is a young man on a mission. To make it clear, the 2020 standout was asked about his vision for what he wants to accomplish at Royal Palm Beach.
“I plan to help this team win a lot of football games,” he simply stated.
It will be interesting to see how the upcoming season unfolds for this young Royal Palm Beach team. We’ll be watching closely.
