WEST PALM BEACH – This one was never in doubt for the Keiser Seahawks.
In their 51-21 win over the Southeastern Fire, it was mostly about the running game for the home team.
No. 7 Keiser (5-2; 4-0 in Sun Conference) finished with 46 carries for a whopping 354 rushing yards. The vast majority of those yards came from the running back duo of junior Andrew Burnette (six carries, 148 yards, three touchdowns) and senior Jaden Meizinger (23 carries, 134 yards, one touchdown).

Burnette’s other two rushing scores came at different parts of the game. His first one was a 33-yarder to the end zone with 1:41 left in the first quarter (14-0 Keiser lead over Southeastern), while his second one was a program record 78-yard touchdown run with 8:46 left in the third quarter (41-0 Keiser lead over Southeastern).

Meanwhile, Meizinger was the one who opened the scoring up for Keiser with a 6-yard touchdown win with 8:06 left in the first quarter.
With an extra point by sophomore kicker Luke Creber (6-for-6 in extra point attempts; 2-for-2 in field goal attempts), Keiser took a 7-0 lead over Southeastern (4-3; 3-1 in Sun Conference).
After Burnette’s first of three touchdown runs and Creber’s two second-quarter field goals, Keiser saw itself up 20-0 midway through the second quarter.
We got two offensive touchdowns on the ground and two field goals in the first half. But the capper was a 37-yard interception return for a touchdown from senior defensive back Wendol Philord at the 1:05 mark of the first half.
Keiser went into halftime with a 27-0 lead.
The second half slowed down just a little bit, as the home team scored three times in the third quarter and a made a field goal in the fourth quarter.
Keiser head coach Doug Socha took part in a press conference and weighed in on how his entire team did tonight (Oct. 21).

In total, Keiser gained a whopping 535 yards on 69 players and registered 24 first downs.
