Thursday, Oct. 15, 6:30 p.m. kickoff: St. John Paul II (2-2) vs. No. 4 Jupiter Christian (3-1)
Both St. John Paul and Jupiter Christian have looked strong this season. Jupiter Christian has already tripled their win total from a season prior, and Coach Baz has his Eagles rolling. Last week, the Eagles scored 66 points against Bell Creek and the game was never even close.
St. John Paul started the season with two early wins but a close loss against King’s Academy and a two-score loss to Cardinal Newman have put them at an even record of 2-2.
Expect a close game between the two sides. Both sides have had promising starts and it’s hard to assume that either team will just let up in this game, especially with Jupiter Christian’s momentum.
Score Prediction: Jupiter Christian over St. John Paul II, 34-25

4:00 p.m. kickoff: Benjamin (1-1) at Gulliver Prep (Miami) (2-0)
The relatively young Benjamin Buccaneers have shown some promise in their first two games but the consistency just isn’t there yet. For Benjamin to win, freshman quarterback Tyler Aronson will have to play their game.
Gulliver Prep is one of South Florida’s best programs, winning their first two games of this season. Last season, Gulliver Prep finished the regular season undefeated, including wins against American Heritage Delray, King’s Academy, and Benjamin.
Score Prediction: Gulliver Prep over Benjamin, 42-20
7:00 p.m. kickoff: No. 1 American Heritage (Delray Beach) (1-1) vs. Champagnat Catholic (3-2)
American Heritage-Delray has had a rough start to the season in terms of actually playing games but when they’ve played, they’ve been strong. The Stallions battled against Bishop Verot and dominated Benjamin on both sides of the field.
The Stallions will need strong play from their defense and quarterback Dylan Rizk but a win against Champagnat Catholic is certainly possible, especially with their strong secondary which rarely allows passing touchdowns.
Score Prediction: American Heritage Delray over Champagnat Catholic, 21-18
7:00 p.m. kickoff: No. 2 Cardinal Newman (3-1) at Clewiston (3-1)
It’s been a strong start for Cardinal Newman and it doesn’t seem like they’ll let up anytime soon. Head coach Dan Burack has rattled off three wins in a row, including wins over King’s Academy and St. John Paul II.
Clewiston is a pretty strong team and in 2020, has won three games. Although the games have mostly been against weaker opponents, the travel time for Cardinal Newman will present a difficult challenge.
Score Prediction: Cardinal Newman over Clewiston, 31-27
7:00 PM kickoff: Glades Day (2-2) vs. First Baptist Academy (Naples) (3-1)
It’s been a mixed bag of results for Glades Day. The Gators have shown promise, especially in their wins over Jupiter Christian and Berean Christian, but they have seen some struggles against Boca Raton Christian and King’s Academy.
They’ll have to pull it together to defeat a strong First Baptist Academy but if that happens, they can certainly beat First Baptist.
Score Prediction: First Baptist over Glades Day, 38-14
7:30 p.m. kickoff: Berean Christian (0-4) at The Master’s Academy (Oviedo) (1-4)
Berean Christian is still searching for their first win of the season and The Master’s Academy, who has just one win so far, could present their first chance to do so. The Master’s Academy is still a strong team though, coming off a 9-win season in 2019.
Score Prediction: The Master’s Academy over Berean Christian, 28-8
