ORLANDO, FL.- Happy Selection Sunday sports fans!
The NCAA football committee has just announced all Bowl Game matchups slated for the middle-to-end of the month. During these selections, NC State and Kansas State have been announced to play in the Florida Citrus Sports Pop Tart Bowl. Over the past 33 years, the bowl featured numerous title sponsors, however, in 2023, Pop Tarts signed a multi-year deal to become the title sponsor.

The NC State Wolfpack finished the 2023 season 9-3 (3rd ACC) as the #19 team in the AP Poll. The ‘Pack had notable wins over conference rivals: Miami, UNC, Wake Forest and Virginia. NC State was led by a dominant defense that recorded that recorded 17 Interceptions (1 Acc), 33 Sacks (5 ACC). The ‘Pack defense also only allowed 20 Points Per Game (5 ACC).
NC State’s defense was led by the stellar senior season of linebacker, Payton Wilson, who recorded 138 Total Tackles, 6 Sacks, 3 Interceptions and 1 Forced Fumble.

Kansas State finished the 2023 season 8-4 (6th Big-12). The Wildcats had notable wins over conference rivals: Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor and Kansas. Kansas State was one of the more diverse offenses in college football, recording 199 Rushing Yards Per Game and 246 Passing Yards Per game. This offensive diversity allowed the Wildcats to record an average 37.8 Points Per Game (2nd Big-12).

The 2023 Florida Citrus Sports Pop Tart Bowl will be held on December 28th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Kickoff is slated for 5:45 P.M.
