NORTH PALM BEACH – William T. Dwyer football is poised for a breakout season in 2023.

One of the biggest catalysts for the team’s success is 2024 DB Mikail Lee, who has solidified himself as one of Palm Beach County’s best players. A versatile two-way player, he can play wide receiver and defensive back at a high level.

Lee’s biggest strength is his speed. When you watch a Dwyer game, it seems like he is flying all over the field.

I believe that Lee’s pro comparisons would be either Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers or Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell. It is due to their flashy speed and YAC (yards after catch) ability.

If you let Lee get into the open field and find his second gear, you’re going to find him in the end zone.

Lee does not currently hold any Division I offers, but has received “serious interest” from Mercer, Arkansas State, Illinois, FMU, Western Kentucky, Itacha, and Dartmouth.

During his junior season, Lee recorded:

•17 receptions
•390 receiving yards
•5 receiving touchdowns
•15 total tackles
•6 pass breakups
•1 interception

This stat line helped Lee earn All-County Honorable Mention by the Palm Beach Post.

When asked about his junior season, Lee said:

“Honestly, I didn’t expect myself to perform the way I did,” Lee said. “We unfortunately had some major injuries early on in the season, so it was my time to step up and become that guy we needed in big games. My coaches could always count on me on either side of the ball to make a play. I just really stayed focused on doing the best for the team.”

Another trait that Lee possesses is his true leadership. He is a leader for his team both on and off the field by constantly showing the underclassmen love, even though it takes time to help them all get better.

“Our team is very young, so I really focused on being the leader to help build them up for the fall season,” Lee said. “The young core we have is very good and will show that this season, spring has prepared us and me as a leader for my final season.”

Going into 2023, the Panthers have a lot of hype surrounding them. They are looking to make some serious noise in Palm Beach County this season.

When asked about Dwyer’s team goal, as well as his individual goals, Lee said:

“This offseason has been the most important to me. Going into my fall season I have been in the weight room and lab every week getting bigger, stronger, and better for this upcoming season,” he stated. “My goals are to earn 5+ offers, and lead my team to a district championship. This season I really want to put everyone on notice, and be able to find a home on signing day to make not only my family but the city proud of me.”

Lee and the Panthers are going to take Palm Beach County by storm in 2023. We are all excited to see what our star and his team has in store this season.
