WEST PALM BEACH – Reggie Workman has been focusing on making gains in more ways than one.
The King’s Academy 2024 wide receiver/free safety has a few things to be happy about at this particular. He recently emerged as one of Palm Beach County’s Top 10 players in last weekend’s Keiser 7-on-7 Tournament, to name just one thing.

Aside from the Keiser 7-on-7, the two-time district champion participated in the following camps for the month of June:
•USF Mega Camp – June 8
•FAU Mega Camp – June 20
•UM Legends Camp – June 22

Workman on these three camps, starting with USF and FAU:
“I talked to coaches at both USF and FAU before my spring game,” the 5-foot-9, 150-pound two-way player said. “I showed up to both of their mega camps in June and just had fun competing. I beat the guy in front of me and went on to the next rep.”
Workman on USF:
“At the USF camp, I realized the camp will allow you to show these coaches a lot,” he said. “Not only how good of a football player you are, but your work ethic, attitude, and character.”
On FAU:
“At the FAU camp, I learned to treat every rep like your last,” he said. “If you don’t take advantage of that rep, you’re only cutting yourself short.”
On Miami Legends Camp:
“The UM Legends Camp was a great experience,” said Workman, who caught two passes out of three targets in 1-on-1’s. “I learned a lot as a wide receiver. There was also a lot of competition in the 1-on-1’s. I had a good time competing and getting better.”
Workman has also been hard at work with his school’s strength and conditioning program.
“At TKA the summer offseason camp is a separation season,” Workman said. “We have the best strength coach in Florida (Coach Jeremy Evans), and he works with us everyday, making us bigger, stronger, and faster. We are also looking at the little things that we didn’t do so well at in the past and cleaning them up to perfection, because we know that’s what separates the good teams from the great teams.”
Workman is encouraged by the progress he made in King’s Academy’s spring game at Royal Palm Beach on May 19. In his team’s 45-0 road win, Reggie Workman recorded two catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns on offense, while adding three tackles on defense.
“For me myself, I feel like the spring game went pretty well,” he said. “I had a solid game offensively, I could’ve played a lot better on the defensive end, but our defense did have a solid game as well. For my team, we look really good in a lot of areas. And we know what we didn’t do go so well and what we need to clean up and get right.”
Workman is looking to make up for a relatively shortened junior season at King’s Academy, which resulted in him suffering a Week 4 injury that keep him out until Week 9 of the regular season. He finished with:
•5 catches
•2 rushing touchdowns
“I had one big catch after I came back from surgery, but that was it,” he said. “The coaches were worried I would get hurt again.”

With that said, Workman is now looking forward to this upcoming fall season as a senior.
“My goal was to ball out in the spring game and I did that,” he said. “And now it’s time for me to lead my team to win games.”
