PALM BEACH COUNTY – In what will be the final Top 25 rankings list for our area’s juniors, a host of players made some noticeable gains.
Let’s get right to it.
While American Heritage (Delray Beach) cornerback Tyler Gaskin remains at No. 1, he does have a new competitor for the top spot. In a surprise move, it’s his teammate and defensive end Earl Miller, who zooms up three spots from No. 5 to No. 2.
This may not be the best thing to go by, but the coronavirus pandemic has forced us to look at things a little differently. For now, offer count is everything, which is why Miller (16 offers; Virginia Tech and Boston College as notables) jumped Boca Raton defensive end Ashton Gillotte (14 offers; Louisville verbal commit; former No. 2/now No. 3 overall player) for the runner-up spot.
Gaskin is comfortably on top in Palm Beach County, as he currently has 21 offers, including ones from Indiana and Utah State.
At No. 4 in this latest update is Palm Beach Lakes running back Antonio Outler, who dropped a spot from last month’s No. 3 ranking. Outler currently has 12 offers, including ones from Auburn and Kentucky.
Rounding out our very best is a new entry at No. 5 in Atlantic cornerback Jeremiah McClendon, who moved up six spots from last month’s No. 11 position. He has 10 offers, including Indiana, FIU, and FAU.
The biggest riser in this cycle is our new No. 6 overall player in American Heritage (Delray Beach) wide receiver Brandon Schabert, who zooms up a whopping 14 spots from last month’s position at No. 20. His recruiting process is heating up quite a bit, as he currently has 10 offers, including ones from Syracuse, Kentucky, and FAU.
The rest of our top 10 is as follows: Atlantic defensive tackle Zyin Thomas (No. 7; top debut),
Benjamin offensive lineman Andrew Weisz (No. 8), Forest Hill athlete Adrian Moncrieffe (No. 9), and Suncoast athlete William Wells (No. 10).
We have two new entries in this iteration of our Top 25, with Thomas leading the way due to his scores of offers from the likes of Pittsburgh, FAU, and FIU (10 total). The other debut is from Inlet Grove defensive back Josue Charles, who checks in at No. 22.
There is one returning player in our Top 25: Park Vista linebacker Kyle Boone (No. 24; peak position to date).
Check out the entire Top 25 below, plus our latest Close to 25 entries.
