Sixth Time’s the Charm: Harrison Defeats McCutcheon in The Sword Game

Tonight’s eagerly awaited game, the Harrison High School Raiders claimed a amazing 35-14 victory over the McCutcheon High School Mavericks. 

Harrison’s offense was on fire, highlighted by Jack Gonzalez’s three rushing touchdowns and a 25-yard touchdown pass from Lannon Nicoloff to Channing Glick. Meanwhile, the Raiders’ defense dominated, limiting McCutcheon to only 82 yards in the first half and creating key turnovers that changed the course of the game.

Ethan Karberg’s game-changing 75-yard fumble return touchdown and interception put Harrison in control. Jack Gonzalez’s three rushing touchdowns and a 25-yard touchdown pass from Lannon Nicoloff to Channing Glick highlighted the Raiders’ offensive power. Meanwhile, the defense, spearheaded by Evan Walker and Derek Parker, stifled McCutcheon’s offense, securing a comfortable halftime lead.

The victory was met with great enthusiasm, with Harrison students flooding the field to celebrate the win and proudly retain of “The Sword.” Rickard Field buzzed with excitement as a large crowd of fans from both schools gathered to cheer on their teams.
