WELLINGTON – Louchy Tessono wants to be a difference maker wherever he goes.

The 6-foot-2, 198-pound wide receiver did it in his junior year at Seminole Ridge, as he caught 4 touchdowns in a season that resulted in a surprise playoff berth.

Tessono’s best game was in Week 5 against Lake Worth, when he hauled in 4 catches for 90 yards and 1 touchdown, including a 10-yarder to the end zone from quarterback and now-Seminole Ridge alum Shane Goolsby in a 28-18 win.

“That touchdown was just a simple 4-yard hitch,” Tessono said. “I just took it to the end zone from there.”

Tessono provided a quick recap of how his junior year went with the Hawks.

“It went okay It could’ve went better,” Tessono said. “Our team had its ups and downs, but overall we went to the playoffs.”

Tessono learned a lot from his former teammate and classmate Brandon Schabert, who transferred from Seminole Ridge to American Heritage (Delray Beach) earlier in the offseason.

Schabert, who is an FAU verbal commit, is our No. 1-ranked wide receiver and No. 5 overall player in Palm Beach County.

“Playing with Brandon was great,” Tessono said. “He’s a versatile player who got all the tools. For him, it only goes up from there. Some teams have one great receiver, but we had two.”

Tessono made his own move as well with his transfer last week from Seminole Ridge to Palm Beach Central. He will be reunited with fellow senior and offensive lineman Jairo Hernandez, who made the same decision earlier this summer.

“Jairo is a dog,” Tessono said. “He works harder than anybody I know. We’re friends, so I expect the best from him and he expects the best from. We’re gonna go out and do some damage.”

Tessono has received no offers or interest to date. But should there even be a fall football season for the public schools in Palm Beach County, he is hoping for a shot at a college football scholarship.

“I just gotta keep moving and sell myself,” Tessono said. “If we have a season, you can expect big things from me every game. If we don’t, then I’m gonna make the best of what I got.”
