FBS College football officially kicked off on August 29th. Games across 7 FBS conferences highlighted a jam packed Saturday. There were two upsets across the 8 games, and a ton of takeaways across the slate. Here is a Stock Up📈 and Stock Down📉 following CFB Week 0.

Stock Up📈 : Jelani Thurman, TE North Carolina

The Ohio State transfer might be due for a huge season in Bobby Petrino’s offense in Chapel Hill.

Thurman was a threat in the screen game, as well as deep over the middle.

Stock Down📉 : Jaden Craig, QB Texas Christian

I know the weather was not ideal, but Jaden Craig was a huge reason TCU lost to an inferior UNC team.

Craig missed many throws that would have led TCU to a comfortable victory in Dublin.

Stock Up📈 : Stanford’s Offense

The Stanford got their get back on Hawaii after losing on a walk off field goal last year.

The Stanford offense looked competent in the passing game and rushing attack. Davis Warren and Micah Ford were very impressive.

Stock Down📉 : Dave Doeren, HC NC State

Yes, I put Dave Doeren instead of CJ Bailey. Doeren’s entire team looked unprepared against Virginia today. Virginia punished them in the trenches, and the Wolfpack offense couldn’t find any success anywhere.

Doeren has been with NC State since 2013. This is easily the worst start for the Wolfpack since he has been their head coach.

Stock Up📈 : North Dakota State

The Bison looked like they belong in the FBS.

They took care of business against one of the best CUSA squads with a talented QB

Stock Down📉 : Mike Norvell, HC Florida State

Norvell was on the hot seat coming into the season, his week 0 performance against NM State did not change any opinions.

Norvell and FSU never separated from the CUSA squad, in fact FSU was lucky to escape with a 17 point victory.
