Strong second half from Jai Lucas’s squad extends Miami’s win streak to 10 games in a row.
The Miami Hurricanes continued their hot-streak on Tuesday night improving to 15-2 (4-0 ACC) after taking down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 81-69 at the Purcell Pavilion.
Riding a 9 game winning streak heading into this game, Miami extended their win streak to 10 for the first time since 2017, led once against by the veteran transfers in the starting lineup.
Tre Donaldson scored 23 points (8-14 FG) in 38 minutes of action tonight leading all scorers, while Shelton Henderson (FR) and Malik Reneau also added on 17 points each. Reneau finished his night with his 5th double-double of the season bringing in 10 rebounds as well.

Though the Irish were able to keep it close in the first half going into the break tied at 39, Miami pulled away outscoring Notre Dame 42-30 in the 2nd half. Much like the 2022-23 Final Four team, this seems to be a trend so far for Jai Lucas’s team.
“I thought the guys came out in the 2nd half and did a better job of just playing to the level of game and competing to the standard of what we needed,” said Coach Lucas following the win.
Miami is 15-2 in Year 1 under Jai Lucas and 3-0 in true road games. Loved the roster post-portal, but did not see this out of the gate from a first-time head coach. Guy is an ACC Coach of the Year candidate.

With this win, Miami not only moves to 4-0 in ACC play, but keeps building momentum as we continue to get deeper into conference play.
Miami will go on a 3 day break before traveling to Clemson for a huge conference game, as they’ll take on the 15-3 Tigers at 2:15 PM EST from the CW.
