LANTANA – New Era Prep’s first student volunteer has been excelling on and off the field.

Starting in the spring of 2018, Ronaldo Garcia has been an asset for the New Era Prep team, as he’s taken the lead on multiple projects while remaining in great academic standing as his senior year comes to a close.

Garcia has been a very focused individual since his freshman year in high school. Garcia has maintained a 3.5 grade point average thus far in his high school academic career. Garcia likes that school is preparing him for life and college.

On top of keeping his GPA in tact Garcia has been very active in the community and volunteering with New Era Prep. Garcia has clocked over 100 volunteer hours with New Era Prep by taking photos, videos, and learning fiscal responsibility with the organization’s team.

When Garcia isn’t at school or volunteering with New Era Prep he’s on the move with his family. The Garcia family are homeowners, and Ronaldo works with his brother and father on their homes.

In addition to that all that Ronaldo does he works with his family that also has a party planning and catering business called Delux Decor. Ronaldo does photography on the side as well when he gets a client.

With all that Garcia does it’s obvious that he’s a go-getter and seeks every viable resource to reach his academic and financial goals in life.

“I give credit to my father and brothers,” Garcia said. “They also have a go-getter mentality. They raised me to do what it takes to get what I want.”

The senior’s motivation has come from many places, and some has been from hardship.

Garcia lost his mother at the age of 11 to breast cancer. This has been one of the major motivating factors in Ronaldo’s life as he attributes most of his milestones in life to his mother.

After graduation Garcia looks to continue his academic career to obtain a college degree and become a physical therapist. Garcia’s dream job is to to become a physical therapist, own his own photography studio, and also own a barber shop.

The future is bright for Garcia with everything he has accomplished and plans to accomplish. Garcia would speak on what his ultimate goals in life are.

“I want to be a successful man,” Garcia said. “I want to take care of my family and pay back the people that helped me reach my full potential and see hope in me.”

Ronaldo is a hardworking individual that has a lot to offer. You can check out some of the work Garcia does on social media.
