TAMPA-Tampa Bay Buccaneers Running Back Bucky Irving held his first ever football youth camp at Steinbrenner High School Saturday, with more than 300 kids

“Just being able to give back to the kids and showing that you care for them and showing them that they also have the hard work and intelligence to do what I do” Irving told the media before camp.

Families waited in the rain to fill the stands to watch their kids learn from man of the hour and local coaches.

As Irving walked on to the football stadium, he was welcomed with the traditional “BUCKY, BUCKY, BUCKY,” chant and families wearing his jersey.

“It’s a blessing,” Irving told New Era Prep, “you gotta put the work in to get this type of recognition and being able to stay humble, stay focused, knowing what you got and being able to come out here and have fun with the kids is a blessing.”

Kids received one on one meet and greets with Irving himself, followed by running scrimmages and drills with him and his best friend, Rookie Wide Receiver Tez Johnson

Fans also got a first look of Irving’s former teammate at camp on Saturday.

Johnson played with Irving during his time at Oregon and became best friends in their college career.

“When I get to hear the” “BUCKY”” chants in real life then not on TV, that’s different, ” Johnson told New Era Prep “He’s doing something right and he should keep doing it.”

Bucky Iriving will be starting his second year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this year. You can watch Irving and the Bucs start training for their 50th season on July 24 running to August 7.
