Last night, the NC State Wolfpack hosted the East Carolina Pirates in a 24-17 thriller, that was sealed by a critical 4 down stop by the Pack defense.
During last night’s match, the college football world was introduced to a young star who’s held very near and dear to the South Florida community. In his first game as a true freshman, Atlantic High alum Teddy Hoffmann exploded onto the scene, recording 5 catches for 93 yards, including the 27 yard sideline grab and 50 yard bomb linked below.

Standing at 6 foot 2, Hoffmann became one of the most polarizing players we’ve seen come out of South Florida in quite some time. During his senior campaign with the Eagles, Teddy recorded 69 catches, 1,179 yards and 23 scores, earning his nickname “Teddy Touchdowns”.
During the final game of his high school career, Hoffmann recorded over 250 yards of total offense and 5 touchdowns in a valiant effort to dethrone the St Thomas Aquinas Raiders.
Following his senior season, Teddy Hoffmann received accolades from practically every local publication, including 1 Team All County honors from the Palm Beach Post and South Florida Sun Sentinel, alongside NewEraPrep’s Palm Beach County MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.

For those still unfamiliar with Teddy Hoffmann as a football player, let me give you the easiest scouting breakdown ever. He’s always open. No seriously- like he’s always open.
Hoffmann is one of the true masters of the route tree, with an uncanny ability to carve underneath routes or take the top off a defense for a deep gain. Teddy Hoffmann’s game shines when defenses are lined up in zone coverage- as he’s been known to just run to a gap in coverage and pick up some extra yards.
There’s so much Amon-Ra St Brown in Hoffmann’s game, and I’ve said it for years.
Teddy Hoffmann and the NC State Wolfpack move on from their in-state foe and prepare to travel Charlottesville, VA to take on the Virginia Cavaliers next Saturday.
