WEST PALM BEACH- At long last, the ESPN West Palm Beach Top 63 has been announced!

After weeks of anticipation, the best football players from across Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast assembled at Keiser University to see where they fell on the Class of 2024 Rankings.

Many players made sure to thank the ESPN West Palm team for selecting them to this exclusive list.

After walking the red carpet, participating in interviews, and taking numerous photo opps, the nominees were more than ready for the show to begin.

Throughout the night, it was all smiles and all laughs across the hall. Tonight’s MC, Theo Dorsey, did a great job keeping the audience engaged and excited during the ceremony.

As the ceremony progressed, ESPN West Palm announced awards for different seniors. These awards and their winners were:

“Homegrown Athlete of the Year” : Michael Wright III, DB Palm Beach Gardens

“Hogs of the Year”: Jensen Beach Offensive Line

“Most Likely to Play on Sunday”: Chauncey Bowens, RB Benjamin

“Mrs. Worldwide”: Lahlea Cornett

“Fancy Feet”: Jake Weinberg, K American Heritage (Delray)

“Batman and Robin”: Tyler Aronson (QB) and Isaiah Roberts (WR), Vero Beach

“Shining Star”: Keelin Coleman, QB Wellington

“Comeback Player of the Year”: Daniel Licata, WR/TE Jupiter Christian

As the list winded down, we reached the top 10. The top 10 players in the class of 2024 were:

No. 10 – Chase Malamala (Benjamin)
No. 9 – Amar Reynolds (Vero)
No. 8 – Michael Wright III (PBG)
No. 7 – Tyler Aronson (Vero)
No. 6 – Jayden Parrish (Atlantic)
No. 5 – Kevin Levy (Newman)
No. 4 – Josh Philostin (Newman)
No. 3 – Ricky Knight III (Newman)
No. 2 – Hardley Gilmore IV (Pahokee)
No. 1 – Chauncey Bowens (Benjamin)

After the ceremony, I had the opportunity to catch up with Chauncey Bowens. When asked about his reaction to being named the “#1 Player”, Chauncey said:

“It’s a real blessing to me! All glory goes to God!” Bowens said. “This is definitely a testament to how hard I’ve worked in my career. This is only the beginning.”

The Benjamin School is quite familiar with having players ranked highly on the ESPN West Palm Top 63. Stars like Jordan Travis and Kaiir Elam paved the way for this next generation of Bucs to come through.

When asked about the legacy of these Benjamin Alum, Bowens said:

“We have a long history of having players ranked #1.” Bowens said. “Benjamin, and Palm Beach County produces some of the best talent. It’s an honor being ranked the best of the best.”
