DELRAY BEACH – Mark Earl Miller Jr. as the next Palm Beach County player to join the South Dakota pipeline.
On Saturday (Aug. 22), Miller ended his recruitment by committing to the Coyotes. He joins Palm Beach Lakes running back Antonio Outler as Palm Beach County’s Class of 2021 players to go with the Red Rising movement.
“South Dakota is a family environment,” Miller said about his decision to commit there. “And they have great ties to Palm Beach County. I have an opportunity to play as a true freshman.”
Ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, Miller also held offers from Florida Atlantic, Coastal Carolina, Fordham and Charleston Southern. However, Miller had an up-and-down recruitment process, where he learned a lot.
“Take your time,” Miller said about what he learned. “And this is one of the biggest decisions of your life.”
After a strong junior season for the Stallions, Miller continued to rise up the Class of 2021 player rankings.
Currently, Miller is ranked third on our Top 50 for the Class of 2021. Miller is the second-ranked defensive end, sitting behind Boca Raton’s Ashton Gillotte.
Miller has been praised as a hard worker and a leader by his high school coaching staff.
“On the field, what more can I ask for? He’s 6-4, 258 pounds. What D-Line coach doesn’t want that size,” American Heritage (Delray Beach) defensive line coach Mike Hall said about Miller. “His football IQ and knowledge of our defensive front makes him a coach on the field. He has become the leader of our D-Line through his knowledge, the hard work he has put in this summer and his willingness to help the younger D-Linemen under him.”
