Palm Beach County – The race to be an out right winner of a district title is becoming increasingly tough.

Friday the 13th was full of action as high school football teams around Palm Beach County fought to improve their playoff chances.

Week in review 10/13:

The Forest Hill Falcons hosted the Dwyer Panthers and let’s just say Dwyer put in work as they cruised to a 42-22 win over the Falcons. Dwyer definitely showed their dominance and look to be a district title contender once again.

Previously ranked No. 9 Forest Hill suffered their first lost of the season and dropped to 6-1 while previously ranked No. 8 Dwyer improved its record to 5-2 on the season.

Dwyer takes on Royal Palm Beach this Friday 10/20.

Forest Hill will travel to Olympic Heights in a district showdown Thursday 10/19.

Glades Central had another week of dominance as they shut out the Boynton Beach Tigers 26-0. Glades central improved to a 4-2 record. The raiders will travel to American Heritage-Delray Friday 10/20.

King’s Academy has flown under the radar all season long then finally crept their way into New Era Preps Top 10 high schools in Palm Beach County ranked as the No. 10 team with a record of 5-0. King’s Academy improved its record to 6-0 after a nail biting win over Gulliver Prep. King’s Academy proved that they are a top contender to make a run in the playoffs.

King’s Academy will have a home game against Key West high school Friday 10/20.

New Era Preps Top 10 high schools in Palm Beach County will be released Wednesday 10/18 (Teams 6-10) and Thursday 10/19 (Teams 1-5). New Era Prep games of the week will be released Thursday night 10/19.
