With a slow start to the season losing 2 games in a row but Spanish River is now back on top.

It was a quick start to the game. Less than 5 minutes in the score was already 7-7.

Some big plays were made this game. In the 1st quarter Spanish Rivers very own Trenton Bell (#16) made an interception and ran the ball over 20 yards. But Wellington’s MJ Jackson (#13) made an incredible interception in the back of the end zone. Blake Wallace (#14) came out with touchdown after touchdown.

If Blake Wallace got the ball this game, you knew he would score. Wallace scored 3 TDS, leading his team with 10 TDS just this season. His goal is to achieve 25 TDS this year, with the season half way done, will Wallace become certified?

By halftime the score was 28-15. Spanish River came out in the second half swinging for the fences.

The defense was on lock. Stopping play after play, not allowing the Wolverines anywhere near the end zone. Spanish River is playing with their freshman quarterback Marcus Stracke (#13). At such a young age, he has been able to hit target after target. He extended his team all the way to the end with a final score of 51-15, the most River has scored this season.
