LAKE WORTH, FL – After a thrilling season opening win last week against Dwyer at home, the Jupiter Warriors looked to continue their hot start against Park Vista, who had just came off a win against Wellington High last week.
Jupiter got the ball rolling right out of the gate as a bad snap from the Park Vista center on fourth down gave the Jupiter Warriors their opening offensive drive right at the 1-yard line. Jai Morgan on the first play for the Warriors rolled across the goal line to give the Warriors a 7-0 lead. Followed with a big pass from Luke Douglas into the hands of Nolan Hollinger to give the Warriors a quick 14-0 lead. That 14-0 lead didn’t last long as Jupiter extended it with a quick rush from Carter Simonson to extend it to 21-0. Followed by a last minute touchdown by Jai Morgan who racked up two rushing touchdowns on the day.
For the rest of the game, the momentum stayed with Jupiter, however, the Warriors wouldn’t see the endzone again until the very end of the third quarter when Carter Simonson broke out for a big rush and initiated the running clock rule, ending the game with a 35-0 win.
Jupiter travels to Martin County next week in what should be a thrilling showdown between the two big schools. For Park Vista, they’ll be traveling to Palm Beach Central looking to bounce back after tonights loss.
