MIAMI – This Saturday (Feb. 16), high school seniors from around South Florida will gather at St. Thomas University In hopes to prove that they have what it takes to play college football.

The free one-day event, in association with the National Football Foundation (NFF), will allow the student athletes to run a series of tests and drills in front of coaches from Division II, III, and NAIA programs across the country.

To participate, the student athlete must pre-register and be a graduating high school senior who has not already accepted an offer from a Division I (FBS or FCS) school.

They must also have at least a 2.5 GPA in 16 core courses and either have an SAT score of 920 (math and verbal only), have a composite ACT score of 18 or higher or a sum score of 68 or higher.

Following the drills, if the coaches like what they see, the athletes and the universities will have a chance to meet up and discuss potential scholarship opportunities.

In last year’s event, 49 colleges were present and saw 61 athletes receive scholarships, totaling over 1.1 million dollars.  

Here is the complete tentative schedule of the day:

7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Registration
9:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.: Student-Athlete Welcome
9:15 a.m. – 9:25 a.m.: College Coaches Welcome
9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: Linemen Drills / Skill Players Testing
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Skill Players Drills / Linemen Testing
1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: 7-on-7 Games / Student-Athletes Meet with College Coaches
