HALLANDALE – Monarch came to play this Thursday Night (Sept. 7), destroying Hallandale 52-0.
On the first play of the game, the ball was returned by Monarch for a touchdown. An extra point was good, putting Monarch up 7-0.
Hallandale had the ball and instantly fumbled the ball. It was scooped up by Monarch during this drive.
Monarch (2-1) ended up scoring another touchdown from a passing play. This time, the road team missed the field goal, putting them up 13-0.
Hallandale, not being able to find a flow, ended up turning the ball over again. And on this drive, Monarch scored another passing touchdown, this time from senior quarterback AJ Hairston to sophomore wide receiver Jabari Brady, putting them up 20-0.
Hallandale, unable to make moves, ended up turning the ball over again. During the next drive that Monarch had that ball, Hairston kept it for a quarterback keeper up the middle. Monarch scored again, putting them up 26-0.
Going into halftime, Monarch score twice more and was up 39-0 over Hallandale (0-2).
Coming out of the half, Monarch exploded on Hallandale. They ended up scoring multiple touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter.
Hallandale was unable to score any points during this game, as Monarch’s offense and defense could not be stopped.
