ROYAL PALM BEACH- The King’s Academy Girls Basketball team has won their third consecutive district championship.

The Lady Lions defeated the Cardinal Newman Crusaders 61-58 to secure the FHSAA Class 3A District 8 championship.

The Lions were led in scoring by Jade Jones (’25) with 18 points. The Crusaders were led by Julia Vazquez (’25) with 17 points.

TKA Girls Basketball has had a great week. The Lions are now District Champions, extending their 10 game win streak, and two of their players have achieved career milestones.

Seniors, Janessa Williams and Jordan Race both passed 1000 career points this week.

Janessa Williams, a Long Island University commit, scored her 1000th point on senior night against Wellington High (1/27/23).

Jordan Race scored her 1000th point against Somerset College Prep Academy in the District Semifinal game (2/1/23).

The Lion’s now advance to the Regional Semifinal round of the FHSAA playoffs. Their opponent will be announced on Sunday, February 5th at 2 P.M.
