This past weekend, the best of the best high school athletes from across the country traveled to Miami to compete at Rivals Camp Series.
The purpose of the Rivals camp is to expose the top talent in the region to scouts from across the country, earning stars, Offers and national recognition in the process. During the camp this weekend, Palm Beach County’s top defensive player showed why he competes with the best of the best.
The King’s Academy Linebacker Levi Champion (2027) went down to St. Thomas Aquinas and dominated Sunday afternoon. Champion put his athleticism on display, flying through positional drills before locking down running backs from all over in 1v1’s. At the end of the day, the 6 foot unranked LB from TKA would go on to earn Linebacker MVP honors.

Looking past an elite camp performance, Levi Champion has led the State of Florida in tackles two consecutive seasons in a row, garnering 182 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles in 2025. Levi Champion is a tackling magnet over the middle. It feels like every snap Levi Champion is right in the mix of things making a play.
At the end of last season, Levi Champion earned Lou Groza Player of the Year honors, and Defensive Player of the Year honors from NewEraPrep, The Palm Beach Post and the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Champion currently holds 7 Division I FBS Offers, including Liberty, Tulane and Florida Atlantic.
