PALM BEACH COUNTY – The top spot has been secured.

Hailing from West Boca Raton, the top spot goes to one of the nation’s best running backs in Javian Mallory.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back was a lethal force for the Bulls last year as a freshman. He carried the ball 91 times for 499 yards and six touchdowns in only seven games, while also catching nine passes for 227 yards and four touchdowns.

While his season was cut short due to an injury, Mallory was the only freshman in both Broward County and Palm Beach County to be named to the Sun-Sentinel All-County First Team. He was also named a MaxPreps freshman All-American.

It is not easy to do what Mallory does out on the football field. His speed and size scares opposing defenses, in addition to his footwork and pad level.

Those in Palm Beach County were not the only ones who were impressed with Mallory. It appears like the entire country has been put on notice.

Mallory already has 20 offers, and he has not even started his sophomore season yet. To mention just a few, Mallory has received offers from Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Syracuse, FAU, UCF, Miami, FSU, and even Georgia.

In West Boca’s spring game against Doral Academy, we got to see a quick glimpse of what’s to come for Javian, who is fully healthy following his injury.

While we did not see Javian run over defenders or throw out stiff arms like usual, we saw his elite vision and ability to get past the defensive line, scoring two rushing touchdowns. His soft feet, athleticism, and ability to find open space makes him a true threat.

West Boca Raton head coach Dylan Potts said the following when speaking about his running back.

“I really enjoy coaching a player like Javian. It’s not every year you get to coach a player of his caliber,” Potts said. “What I love most about coaching Javian, is not just what he does on the field, but more importantly what type of person and teammate Javian is. He’s the type of teammate and player with that positive attitude that everybody enjoys being around. He’s a natural born leader, not only leading by example on the field, in the weight room, in the classroom, but he really brings out the best of his teammates. Javian challenges his teammates everyday to strive to level of excellence that we want to attain here at West Boca.”

Potts had more to say about Javian Mallory.

“He has earned every bit of media attention, every offer, everything that has came his way thus far,” Potts said. “I really enjoy being able to coach a player and a kid like Javian. He’s just a special talent and an even better kid.”

Javian Mallory isn’t the only star at West Boca. His close cousin, Mason Mallory, also cracked the Top 10 in the Palm Beach County Class of 2026 player rankings for New Era Prep, coming in at No. 3.
