PALM BEACH COUNTY – There is much debate as to which team is deserving of the No. 1 spot to start this season.
A strong case can be made for each of our top four Palm Beach County teams. But in the end, there can only be one at the summit.
Palm Beach Central is that team because it is most loaded and experienced group of players in the area.
We are speaking of a program that was the Lou Groza Team of the Year this past season and brought almost every key player back.
We are speaking of a team that has two ESPN West Palm Top 10 players in quarterback Ahmad Haston (UMass commit) and wide receiver Javorian Wimberly (Central Michigan commit), who are the No. 1-ranked players at their respective positions.
We are speaking of a team that actually may have the best chance of reaching at least the Class 4M state semifinal round – and possibly even a state title appearance or win.
There is an endless amount of potential with this year’s Palm Beach Central team, even as it is led by new head coach Kevin Thompson.
Now with that being said, here is the entire Top 10 list – plus five teams that are in our Close to 10 mention.
- Palm Beach Central
