BOCA RATON – The Atlantic Eagles are back to looking like themselves after a much needed win, downing the Boca Raton Bobcats 43-oh 7 and improving their record to 2-2 on the season.

After late losses in previous weeks, Atlantic was able to put together a complete game from start to finish as it scored its first points

The Bobcats (2-2) only put up seven points, and this was due to the Eagles swarming defense that was led mainly by junior Jayden Parrish, who recorded a sack, forced fumble, and tackle for loss. on defense.

Junior Devon Byrd put the Eagles on the board early in first quarter.

“My defensive line made a good play to strip the ball, and I picked up and took it home,” Byrd said.

“Me and my team wanted to come out and set the tone, make plays,” Parrish said. “We didn’t want them to score.”

Parrish also added a rushing and receiving touchdown on the offensive side of the ball.

The Eagles sophomore duo continues to impress as Lincoln Graf and Kamare Williams connected on multiple passes to stretch the Bobcats defense.

“We made a game plan that was really effective against their defense,” Graf stated.

“I just stayed focused, doing what I have to do.” Kamare Wiliams added.

Boca Raton’s lone touchdown came right before halftime on a pass from Chance Routson to Damien Taylor.

Last night (Sept. 16) was a big sigh of relief for the Eagles, as they seem to have their young team settled and more focused.

“We have a young team,” Eagles assistant coach James Pinkney stated in his post game comments. “They’re young, but things are starting to click and come together.”
