PALM BEACH COUNTY – This is the first time we will be highlighting our area’s talented Class of 2025 as a collective group.
In what was a group decision by our New Era Prep team, we have assembled the very first iteration of player rankings for our incoming sophomore class.
To be perfectly honest, it was crystal clear and unanimous as to who our No. 1-ranked player would be.
This special honor will go to Pahokee 2025 quarterback Austin Simmons, who holds a whopping 18 FBS offers to date. They come from the likes of Florida State, Penn State, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and many others.
Simmons was selected by Miami-based talent evaluator Jerry Williamson (Rising Stars) as the Palm Beach County Offensive Freshman of the Year. He was also named to the Rising Stars All-South Florida Freshman Team.
In addition to that, Simmons has been selected by QB Hit List as the nation’s No. 5-ranked pro-style quarterback for the Class of 2025.
And in Pahokee’s spring game jamboree series against Lake Worth and South Fork this past May, Simmons completed 18 of his 23 passes for 320 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions in two games.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback spoke on his No. 1 overall ranking in Palm Beach County.
“First off, I want to thank God for putting me in this position and blessing me throughout my whole life,” Simmons said. “It feels great to be recognized as the best player. Especially with the large amount of talent in this county, it’s just a true blessing. Now all I have to do is play like I’m truly the best in the county. I just have to bring it into this season.”
