TREASURE COAST – The top spot has been secured.

In the second iteration of our Class of 2024 player rankings for the Treasure Coast, there was a debate about No. 1, as three players were mentioned in our undisclosed panel of voters.

But when the debate ended, it was clear that Vero Beach junior quarterback and SMU commit Tyler Aronson has done enough to remain at the summit – for now.

Aronson provided his take on being the Treasure Coast’s standard bearer in his class.

“I’m thankful,” the 6-foot-3, 210-pound quarterback said. “Happy to have my support circle around me always helping me to get better. And none of this would be possible without God. But I’m just going to continue improving and bettering myself day by day. I’m hungrier than I’ve ever been and I’m ready to prove myself right.”

Aronson was recently selected as a Class 4S All-State Honorable Mention for his junior year performance at Vero Beach. He finished as the Treasure Coast’s second most successful passer by completing 121 of 183 passes for 1,683 yards, 21 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Watch one of Aronson’s touchdown plays from his junior season.

The Rivals 4-star quarterback had an amazing start to his junior year by becoming our only four-time MVP weekly superlative winner for the Treasure Coast. He won this honor in Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, and Week 6 of the regular season.

But not long after Week 6, Aronson’s junior campaign was cut short.

“I got hurt on the second drive of Week 9 and it ended my season,” Aronson said. “I wish it didn’t have to end that way for me. But I was able to take the positive things from it and just used it as motivation for the future. I learned a lot from it. And I know my best football is still ahead of me.”

In addition to Aronson seat at the top, we have two Top 10 debuts and three new entries in our Top 5. At least of those players could be coming for that No. 1 spot this year.

It is about to get interesting. Stay tuned.

But for now, here’s our Top 30 and Close to 30.
