TREASURE COAST – After three regular season games played, we will finally see changes taking place throughout the Top 10.
Here are the top three determinants on how the Top 10 turned out this week – in order:
•Strength of overall team
•Strength of schedule
•Wins and losses
A fourth determinant serves as a key to how far a team will drop – if it loses a game in a blowout:
•Margin of loss
In consultation with a host of coaches from the entire Treasure Coast area, we have decided on the Top 10 will look this this week.
After reading the entire Top 10 for yourself, read on for all the details of how we assembled this particular team ranking iteration.

HONEST IMPRESSIONS
•Vero Beach stays at No. 1 for obvious reasons – one being that it has outscored its opponents by a staggering scoring margin of 150-6.
•Moving up one spot each are John Carroll at No. 2, Martin County at No. 3, and Centennial at No. 4.
•Jensen Beach moves up two spots from No. 7 to No. 5 due to its impressive wins – both on the road – over Dwyer (24-10) and Wellington (17-14).
•Fort Pierce Westwood (No. 6) remains in the same spot as last week because it has not lost a game this season.
•Treasure Coast drops five spots from No. 2 to No. 7 due to just being 0-3, as its last loss was to Seminole by 19. The margin of loss matters after three games played.
•South Fork enters our Top 10 at No. 8 due to its 14-3 head-to-head win over Sebastian River, which stays at No. 9.
•Fort Pierce Central stays at No. 10 despite its 13-0 home loss to Bayside.
•Port St. Lucie drops out of this week’s Top 10
due to its 62-0 loss to No. 1 Vero Beach. This happens despite it being PSL’s first loss, albeit to the Treasure Coast area’s top-ranked team. Margin of loss matters here.
PLEASE NOTE: We will consult with coaches from the majority of our 14 Treasure Coast teams before each weekly Top 10 list is released. This ensures that the best possible order is published and all 14 teams are fairly represented.
