TREASURE COAST – It has been more than a year since we released our first-ever player rankings list for the Class of 2025.

Now that all of the Treasure Coast transfers have settled in and played at least one game this season, we can feel good about the second iteration of the list you will see below.

To eliminate the suspense – there is really no debate on this one – a clear-cut No. 1 has emerged. And everyone knows it has been – and still is – athlete Tarvos “TJ” Alford,  who made his decision to transfer from John Carroll to Vero Beach in the offseason.

Alford, who has 23 total offers to date, is rated as a consensus four-star college prospect by 247Sports, ESPN, On3, and Rivals. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound athlete is projected to play at the next level as a linebacker.

Robert “RJ” Jones, a teammate/classmate of Alford, is also an athlete who transferred from John Carroll to Vero Beach in the offseason. Jones spoke on Alford’s evolution over the past year.

“He became a better leader and he’s definitely got bigger,” said Jones, who is listed at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds. “But overall, he’s just becoming more of dog on the football field.”

In Week 1, the first Treasure Coast-area player with an Ohio State offer had a performance to remember against Miami Northwestern. He finished with 11 total tackles and 1.5 sacks to help his team earn a 19-13 home win.

With his stellar outing, Alford was selected as our Lineman of Week 1 for the Treasure Coast area.

“He was very impactful and he really turned the defense up with his energy,” said Jones, who is ranked as the Treasure Coast’s No. 2 overall player in the Class of 2025.

Now that we let everyone know that Alford (No. 1) and Jones (No. 2) are the Treasure Coast’s top two players, you can see the rest of the Top 20 and the Close to 20 list for yourself.
