Irving, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the men’s basketball awards for the 2024-25 season. Tulsa Freshman Forward Ian Smikle has been named to the All-Freshman Team.

Smikle, who averaged 20 points and 13 rebounds in his senior season at Suncoast HS, saw solid minutes in his first season at Tulsa.

Ian holds averages of 5.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, with his best performance coming on January 4th against UAB, when he scored 17 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 8-10 from the field.

Look to see more action from The freshman throughout the rest of March, and going into next season, No. 10 Tulsa faces No. 7 Temple in the Second Round of the AAC Tournament Tomorrow March, 13th.
