GREENACRES, FLA – This season has been full of great storylines and this is without a doubt at the top of the list. The UNDEFEATED John I. Leonard Lancers are set to host the Marco Island Academy Manta Rays this Friday.

Pending good weather the game is a go! Both schools are int he independent division. An injury-riddled Marco Island team sits at 2-4, including a 62-0 win over Gateway Charter, the largest in school history.

On the other hand, how about John I? Entering this season the Lancers were 1-29 in their last 30 but this year we’ve seen a major turnaround.

Coach Van Es and crew have rallied to be able to put together 5 solid wins so far, and a HUGE opportunity to win five more this season.

The keys to the game for both programs are to play solid football out of the gate. Both teams have proved that they can score and also be a good defensive team, whoever does so better will win.

New Era Prep will be live and onsite from Greenacres tomorrow!
