SUNRISE, FL.- Coming into the game, USF had not won an Orange Bowl Classic game in their past 4 appearances. The Bulls changed history, as they took their first ever Orange Bowl Classic win today with a 88- 72 dominant victory over the Florida State Seminoles.

USF opened up the game with a bang, going on an 8-0 run before the first timeout. This hot streak was led by #3, Chris Youngblood, who scored 2 points and had an assist, and #11 Kasean Pryor, who drilled a deep 3 pointer from behind the arc.

USF went 39 percent from the paint, and 43 percent from three. FSU had shooting struggles, going 30 percent from the paint, and 18 percent from the 3. At the end of the first half, USF had a 38-24 lead over the Seminoles.

After the half, FSU’s offense breathed life into a comeback, as the Seminoles went on an 8-0 run to start the second period. Unfortunately for the ‘Noles, Shelton Miguel’s fast break layup popped the comeback bubble, as he extended USF’s lead to twenty points with over nine minutes remaining in regulation. Despite the small comeback attempt from the Seminoles, USF continued to put FSU in a chokehold in the second, scoring 50 points in the half. USF led the lead throughout the entire game, not letting momentum shift. The Bulls were elite from all levels of the floor, draining threes and dominating the paint. After the final buzzer, Chris Youngblood was named MVP of the Game, after an 18 Point performance (55 FG%, 60% 3PT).

USF rises to 3-4 on the season. The Bulls will travel home to Tampa for a five game home stretch, leading off against AR-Pine Bluff on December 12th. Tip off is slated for 7:00 PM.
