TAMPA- Green and Blue take the field this Saturday in a clash in the American Athletic Conference. No. 9 in the AAC, University of South Florida versus No 4. Rice University.
The Owls are coming into this game off of a blow out win 59-7 against Texas Southern. The Bulls on the other hand have just taken a loss against the University of Alabama. While the Crimson Tide was able to take down USF, they only won 17-3 in what seemed like a struggling Alabama Offense against the Gritty USF defense.
Rice is averaging a solid 37 points a game compared to USF’s 21, showing that it will have to be USF’s defense that has to make noise in this matchup.
A few players to watch out for are Rice’s QB JT Daniels coming into this game with 805 yards already on the season. On the defensive end, keep an eye on USF’s DB Daquan Evans. Evans is coming off of a huge defensive game against Alabama where he racked up 8 Tackles, 4 TFL’s, 3 sacks, and 1 PBU.
